Custom SMC Resin Formulation and Technical Support
Every composite manufacturing process has different requirements for viscosity, thickening behavior, curing speed, surface quality, and mechanical performance. HUAKE works closely with customers to select or customize the appropriate SMC resin formulation according to their molding process, reinforcement system, product structure, and production targets.
From initial material evaluation and sample testing to formulation adjustment and mass-production support, our technical team helps customers improve processing stability, reduce trial-and-error costs, and achieve consistent product quality.
SMC/BMC/CIPP Resin Solutions
Our SMC/BMC/CIPP resin solutions support composite molding and trenchless pipe rehabilitation with reliable processing, high strength, low shrinkage, chemical resistance, and efficient curing performance.

Versatile Solutions for Advanced Composite Manufacturing & Infrastructure Rehabilitation
Our resin systems serve diverse industries with precision-engineered formulations:
SMC/BMC Applications:
- Automotive components, rail transit parts, electrical enclosures, and construction facilities
- High heat distortion temperature (up to 200°C) supports demanding applications in automotive and industrial sectors
- Excellent fiber wet-out with fillers and glass reinforcement ensures consistent part quality
CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) Applications:
- Heat-Cured CIPP Resins : Low-viscosity, pre-accelerated formulations with excellent water and chemical resistance for trenchless pipe rehabilitation. Features long shelf life at room temperature and rapid cure upon heating
- UV-Cured CIPP Resins : High-reactivity resins that cure rapidly under UV light, ideal for glass fiber reinforced prepreg applications in sewage systems
Durable, Safe, and Chemically Resistant Solutions
Our SMC/BMC and CIPP resins deliver reliable performance in critical applications:
SMC/BMC Structural Integrity: High-strength compounds with flexural strength up to 300 MPa and tensile strength up to 140 MPa for load-bearing applications. Excellent dimensional stability with shrinkage as low as -0.10% ensures precision parts
CIPP Chemical Resistance: R0594 heat-cured resins offer excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts commonly found in sewage environments
Flame Retardant Options: Available formulations meet UL94 V0 3mm standards for electrical and fire-safety applications
UV-Cured Efficiency: UV series cures rapidly under low-energy UV light, reducing on-site installation time and minimizing traffic disruption

One Resin System, Unlimited Application Possibilities
Our versatile resin portfolio adapts to your specific requirements:
Process Compatibility: SMC compression molding, BMC injection molding, pultrusion, RTM, and CIPP UV-curing processes
Reinforcement Options: Compatible with glass fiber (30-50% content), carbon fiber, and various filler systems including CaCO₃ and ATH
Performance Grades:
- Class A Surface Grade: For automotive and exterior parts requiring high surface quality
- Structural Grade: For load-bearing components with 40% glass fiber content
- Low Density Grade: For lightweight applications with density as low as 1.30 g/cm³
- CIPP Application Versatility: Both heat-cured and UV-cured options available for different pipeline rehabilitation requirements
Key Advantages of Our SMC Resin
Our SMC, BMC, and CIPP resin systems offer high strength, low shrinkage, heat resistance, chemical durability, and efficient curing for demanding industrial applications.
High Heat Distortion Temperature
Selected DS-876N high-temperature SMC resin grades provide heat distortion temperatures of up to 200°C. This makes them suitable for automotive components, electrical enclosures, industrial equipment, and other applications exposed to elevated operating temperatures.
Exceptional Mechanical Strength
Structural SMC resin formulations with 40% glass fiber content achieve flexural strength of up to 300 MPa and tensile strength of up to 140 MPa. They are suitable for load-bearing parts, structural composite components, and other applications requiring reliable strength and durability.
Low Shrinkage Performance (≤ -0.10%)
Our low-shrinkage SMC resin formulations achieve shrinkage values as low as -0.10%. Near-zero shrinkage helps improve dimensional accuracy, surface consistency, and repeatability in precision-molded automotive, electrical, and industrial parts.
CIPP Chemical Resistance
R0594 heat-cured CIPP resin offers excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and other chemicals commonly found in sewage and underground pipeline environments. Its stable room-temperature storage performance also supports efficient handling and installation.
Rapid UV Curing
UV-E2312 UV-curable CIPP resin cures rapidly under low-energy UV light. The fast curing process helps reduce installation time, improve trenchless pipe rehabilitation efficiency, and minimize disruption to traffic and surrounding infrastructure.
Versatile Reinforcement Compatibility
Compatible with glass fiber, carbon fiber, calcium carbonate, ATH, and other reinforcement or filler systems, allowing formulations to be customized for different strength, weight, surface, and processing requirements.
